Performing the initial settings

Install the MiRZA app on your smartphone first when you use this product for the first time.

After installing the app, pair your smartphone with this product.

Note

When a message prompting update appears on this product or the MiRZA app, update to the latest software by following screen instructions.

Tip

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth and location information features on your smartphone beforehand.

  1. Once pairing has been completed, re-pairing is not required.

  1. Read the QR code with your smartphone camera and download the MiRZA app.

    Tip

    1. If your smartphone cannot read the QR code, access to the URL below.

    1. You can also download the MiRZA app from Google Play. Search “MiRZA” for the app name.

  2. Launch the downloaded MiRZA app. 

  3. Set up the items by following the screen instructions.

    The main items are as follows.

    1. Introduction of the app

    1. Agreement on the Terms of Use

    1. Setting up your account (log in with your current account or create a new account)

    1. Granting the access permission

    1. Connecting with the glasses (this product)

    Note

    1. A message appears when your smartphone needs to update its software in order to use this product. Update your smartphone’s software by following screen instructions. For details, refer to the manual of your smartphone.

    1. Make sure to grant your smartphone the access permission when a confirmation dialog for requesting the access permission appears on your smartphone. This product may not work properly if you do not grant the access permission. For details, refer to the manual of your smartphone.

    Tip

    When the connection screen of this product appears, stop operations on the MiRZA app and proceed to Step 4. Operations for the glasses (this product) will continue for a while.

  4. Press the power button of this product for approximately 1 second to turn this product on when the connection screen appears.

    The introduction screen for the app appears afterwhile.

  5. Tap the touch sensor of this product.

    The Glasses Adjustment screen appears.

  6. Adjust the nose pads by following the screen instructions.

    Tip

    Adjust the nose pads so that you can see the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the circle that appears on the screen.

    Also, adjust them so that you can see the letters in the screen clearly.

  7. After adjusting the nose pads, tap the touch sensor.

    The Bluetooth connection standby screen appears.

    A: Device name of this product

    Tip

    1. Confirm the device name of this product. In Step 9, you can distinguish this product from other devices.

    1. When the Bluetooth connection standby screen appears, stop operations on the glasses (this product) and proceed to Step 8. Operations for the MiRZA app will continue for a while.

  8. Tap [Start] on the MiRZA app.

    The device name of this product appears on the MiRZA app.

    Tip

    If the device name of this product cannot be found, tap [Retry] on the MiRZA app.

  9. Tap the device name of this product (MiRZA_xxxx) on the MiRZA app.

    Tip

    The last 4 digits of the serial number (production number) are displayed in the “xxxx” part for the device name of this product.

    You can also confirm them in the Bluetooth connection standby screen of the glasses (this product). (Refer to Step 7.)

    The 4-digit pairing code appears on the glasses (this product) afterwhile.

  10. On the MiRZA app, enter the pairing code that was displayed on the glasses (this product).

  11. Tap to check [Allow access to your contacts and call history] and then tap [Pair].

    The connection complete screen appears.

    Note

    If you do not check [Allow access to your contacts and call history], the name of the caller that is registered in your Contacts will not be displayed when you receive an incoming call to your smartphone.

    Tip

    If a connection failed, perform the following operation.

    Tap [OK] and repeat from Step 8.

    The operation guide appears afterwhile.

  12. Operate it by following the screen instructions.

    Tip

    You can long-tap the touch sensor to exit the operation guide at any time. 

    After the operation guide is finished, a tutorial will start. The following screen appears afterwhile.

    A: Next/Complete

    B: Skip

    C: Exit the tutorial.

    Tip

    The tutorial does not appear when you connect (pair) this product with a non-Snapdragon Spaces technologies-compatible smartphone, but the standby screen appears.

  13. Operate it by following the screen instructions.

    A: Progress in the tutorial

    Tip

    1. The tutorial ends when you tap [Complete] lastly.

    1. You can tap “Skip” (B button) to skip to the next item.

    1. You can tap “Exit the tutorial” (C button) to exit the tutorial at any time. 

    1. When you miss the ray (beam), long-tap the Main Launcher display button on the control screen of the MiRZA app. You can put the ray (beam) display position back to the front.

    Main Launcher appears after the tutorial ends.

    The control screen appears on the MiRZA app.

    Tip

    When you connect (pair) this product with a non-Snapdragon Spaces technologies-compatible smartphone, Main Launcher does not appear. The linkage feature of your smartphone cannot be used. Also, the control screen does not appear on the MiRZA app.
